This So Ruins the Little Counting System I Had On the Back of My Hand.
Due to some unforeseen packaging problems, the release date of Room On Fire has been pushed to October 28. The first single, 12:51, is now in the music section of www.thestrokes.com. If you are bored you can call your local radio station (89x=298-7XXX in Detroit, and since this website only reaches three people including myself, I'm guessing that's where you'd be calling from) to request the song.

Why Donovan* is Pretty
Due to the infinite amount of time on my hands, I have finally stolen from this website...
THE TOP 10 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BE A FAN OF NIKOLAI:
01. His incredibly defined jawline.
02. Because he tries to hide behind his hair.
03. His slight accent.
04. His crooked nose.
05. Because you'll rarely catch him smiling (and if he is smiling it's either a half smile or a sarcastic smile).
06. The way the right side of his hair flips out.
07. He's under appreciated, which is quite endearing (yep, I actually came up with this one myself)
08. Because he never seems to stop thinking.
09. The way he slouches his shoulders.
And the # 10 reason why you should be a fan of Nikolai is...his true (not artificial) modesty. And he's pretty. So there.
Nikolai reminds Ali of a pencil in this picture.
Yep. The Strokes actually play instruments. You wouldn't have guessed that, would you.

Well, as you may or may not have known, my friend Sarah's neighbor is friends with Jack White's nephew. As the year progresses, I will be documenting our experiences in spying on and conversing with this strange specimen they call a free loader* who has ties to Jack White, our sex god.
*I say this only because Sarah's neighbor still lives with his mom. This would not be a problem except for the fact that he is probably in his early 20s. Urgent Update: Sarah's neighbor is moving out soon! We're going to hav to actually befriend him soon instead of just stalking him. So watch out!
